Haven't Posted In A While
I haven't been on here lately. Obviously no one is reading this, but that's ok. I enjoy typing to myself in hopes that one day, someone might just read it.
My last post was in March, I believe. A lot has happened since March and there's just too much to type. We've had our ups and downs, as everyone else does. Now, Christmas is over and we are looking at the new year of 2011 just around the corner. I have high hopes that it will be a better one. One without sickness, surgeries, fights and tears to boot.
I expect that 2011 holds a new light for us. As a family, things just have to work out. 'Til Death Do Us Part, right? RIGHT!
It's hard to believe that we've lived here for almost a full year now. The weather in Texas is absolutely ridiculous and I'd be lying if I said this was my favorite place to live, but it is home. We have purchased our first home and slowly but surely getting settled in.
Well, I think that's about all for now. The kids aren't old enough to feed themselves and bathe themselves, etc... So, off to do the "Mommy Thing" for the day.

Day 2 of This "Blog Thing"
So folks. How do you do?
Today has been a crazy day so far and it's only the afternoon. Dinner isn't planned, the kids rooms are still messes, laundry is piling up and dishes aren't finished. Ughh. I think we're all entitled to our lazy days ya know? The problem with that is that my lazy days happen to be almost everyday of the week it seems like.
Anyway, enough ranting about what's not done. Moving to Texas has been hectic all in its own. We moved here January 5th, 2010. I left my family, my best friends and everything that I know to come here. So far so good, but I must admit that I do somewhat feel isolated without my friends. All I can say is, "Thank God for small miracles called cell phones!" Personally, I think I'd be lost without it.
Robert isn't too happy with me right now either. My parents offered to fly myself and the two kids out to NC for a week. Long story short, I agreed to go. Robert could've gone too if it wasn't for his work schedule and the fact that he probably wouldn't want to go due to the reason why we moved to Texas in the first place. That story will be explained on another day. Well, that's the bad part. The good part is that WE WILL be back in Texas for Easter Sunday. The kids will go to church and we'll have a great day with my in-laws. End of discussion.
The kids are being holy terrors on this fine Thursday. James won't get his room cleaned, with or without help. Taylor is only 20 months, so everything I do clean gets un-cleaned by my "Little Tornado" of a daughter. God love them though, they are 99.9% of the time good kids.
I guess that's enough for now. I'll write more later. Don't think that I believe that people are actually reading this, but I got my inspiration from a very good friend of mine that says I have too much time on my hands. Wow, this is wrapping up to be a wonderful outlet for me.

Our First Time Blogging
Introduction:
So you think your life is as crazy as it seems sometimes? Well, it probably is in our own little ways. This is an attempt at blogging the normal and not-so normal everyday acheivements and discouragements in the WoodZoo.
I believe I'll start this blog with a simple "Hello" and tell you a little bit about myself and my family. I'm a married, 25 year old mother of 2 wonderful kids. My name is Karen and my husband is Robert. The kids are James (4) and Taylor (20 months).
I declare that trying to keep up with our lives most likely won't be simple, but I sincerely hope you enjoy reading. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
